Breast Reduction Surgery (Reduction Mammaplasty)
Breast Reduction Surgery is basically a surgery very close to breast lift surgeries among aesthetic breast surgeries. The only difference of breast reduction surgery is that in this surgery, while the breast is lifted, some of the glands and fat in the breast and some skin are also removed.

Breast Aesthetics and Breast Reduction Surgery
If your nipples are down to the level of the breast fold line, you may have Mild breast sagging, and if they are below this line, you may have ADVANCED breast sagging.
Excessively large breasts can cause back pain and spinal problems. Rashes can develop under large breasts, sometimes even turning into open sores. Psychological problems caused by excessively large breasts are often overlooked.
Why do breasts sag?
There is a decrease in breast tissue due to hormonal reasons related to aging. This causes the breast to empty and sag. Breastfeeding mothers' breasts are also more prone to sagging. In addition, gravity pulls the breasts downwards and causes them to sag. In some cases, sagging starts at a very early age and is entirely due to congenital weakness of the ligaments that carry the breast.
Surgery, Cuts and Scars
It is possible to reshape the breast, completely remove sagging, and enlarge or reduce the breast at the same time. A surgical technique that can lift the breast without leaving a scar is not yet known. The techniques used leave a scar along the entire circumference where the nipple meets the skin and extends under the breast. This scar continues on the fold line below. Generally, we can accept that the more saggy the breast, the longer the scars will be.
Who is suitable for this surgery
If the sagging of your breasts is moderate, and you think that you will be seriously disturbed by the scars, this surgery is not suitable for you. But if your breast sagging is extreme and you think that nothing can be worse than this, this surgery is suitable for you. At the end of the surgery, you will have breasts that are upright and the size you want.
Complications
As with any surgery, there is a risk of bleeding and infection, but there is almost no chance of serious bleeding in this type of surgery. Bleeding may be in the form of blood accumulation (hematoma) on one side of the breast. A one-sided swelling around the fifth day after surgery can be a sign of infection. The likelihood of such complications is very low. Skin loss is among the complications that can be seen, although again rare. It usually occurs in patients who smoke after surgery. This risk increases especially in surgeries where very large breasts are reduced. The skin becomes black and hard and may need to be dressed for a long time.
Remember that the first two weeks after surgery are critical.
Aesthetic Problems
Asymmetry is among the problems that can be encountered after this surgery. In severe asymmetries, a retouching surgery may be required. As a result of this surgery, there is a possibility that you may not like your breast shape at all.
After Surgery
It is not a painful surgery. Patients can usually be discharged on the same day and return to work after 3-4 days. The first night may be relatively troublesome. A simple oral painkiller is usually sufficient. Serious bruising and swelling are not expected as a result of this surgery.
It is best to spend one week for this surgery. You will be almost back to normal at the end of a week.
